Iran’s ‘Diapason’ to compete in India

Iranian film ‘Diapason’ is to compete at the 2020 Pune Int’l filmfest in India.

Iranian film ‘Diapason’ has been selected to vie at the 2020 edition of Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) in India.

Directed and penned by Hamed Tehrani, ‘Diapason’ is about a 50-year-old single working mom named Ranaa who is living happily with her daughter Hoda until the daughter dies in an accident.

It was filmed in Tehran and popular Iranian actress Zhaleh Sameti has played the main role of the film.

Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Alireza Ostadi, Mehdi Hosseininia and Hossein Tehrani are also among the cast of the film.

PIFF aims to create a healthy film culture in Pune which is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

The fest brings the best of the global cinema to the city and sparks a cultural exchange.

The fest is slated for January 9-16 2020.
